DES PLAINES, Ill.–(BUSINESS WIRE)–The women’s leadership organization AWESOME (Achieving Women’s Excellence in Supply Chain, Operations, Management and Education) is inviting senior-level women in supply chain to the organization’s seventh annual Symposium, “Reaching Beyond and Achieving More.” The event is taking place on May 1-3, 2019, in Seattle, Washington.
Host Partner Starbucks will join Founding Partner DSC Logistics and other sponsors in providing two days of interaction and discussions. A third day offers options for unique local experiences. Several symposium activities will take place at Starbucks headquarters, including a reception at the Starbucks Reserve Store, the company’s new store concept that introduces a marketplace-style environment and showcases Starbucks Reserve coffee and pastries and pizza from Milan-based Princi Bakery.
Also heading the line-up of sponsors are three AWESOME “Champions”: Johnson & Johnson, McDonald’s, and NIKE, Inc. Additional companies who support AWESOME and women’s leadership are committing to sponsorships at nine levels.
The Symposium’s signature features include panel discussions, Up-Close Conversations, Out in Front talks, the AWESOME Legendary Leadership (ALL) Award and interactive Making Waves sessions. The 2019 speakers include Roz Brewer, COO of Starbucks; Cady Coleman, former NASA astronaut; Carla Harris, Vice Chairman and Managing Director at Morgan Stanley and author of Strategize to Win; Bonnie Fetch, author of (Un)skirting the Issues: A Guide for the Well-Intentioned Man in Today’s Workplace; and Jane Stevenson, Vice Chairman of Korn Ferry.

The registration fee of $895 is in effect until March 15 after which the cost will be $995.
