The wine was flowing, the food was delicious, and the sold-out room was packed at the 37th annual GSBA Business & Humanitarian Awards Dinner last Thursday, February 15 at the Seattle Marriott Waterfront.
Followed by an incredible performance by Arnaldo! Drag Chanteuse, the awards ceremony began with host Gary Tucker, from the Pacific Northwest Ballet, introducing a variety of presenters.
The event included special appearances by Governor Jay Inslee and Attorney General Bob Ferguson, and featured Keynote Speaker Jennifer Brown, an award-winning entrepreneur and diversity and inclusion expert, based in New York.
The highlight of the evening was the impassioned speech Aleksa Manila gave upon receiving the Community Leader of the Year award.
